Turmeric curcumin: why 95% of supplements are wasted

The absorption problem

Raw curcumin is poorly water-soluble and rapidly metabolized — peak plasma levels rarely exceed 1% of the oral dose. This is why anecdotal results from generic turmeric supplements are so inconsistent.

Formulations that actually work

Phytosome (Meriva), liposomal (Longvida), and BCM-95 formulations have shown 10–30x improvements in plasma curcumin compared to standard 95% extracts.
